Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated PACS Manager to join our team in either Auckland or Sydney. This role serves as the lead for the Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability (PACS) function for the Pacific Islands (incl Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia and French Polynesia) and Papua New Guinea.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate with internal and external teams (e.g., bottlers, trade and industry associations, public affairs, and communications agencies) to develop and execute the PACS strategy and stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Advocate for legislation and regulations to support our business and industry needs across these markets.
  • Lead, in partnership with our bottlers, our collection program across the region.
  • Manage the Incident and Crisis Management process in close collaboration with bottlers and Technical and Supply Chain teams.
  • Cultivate and manage key stakeholder relationships, including government ministries, agencies, industry & trade associations, think tanks, and media.
  • Oversee and manage routines, reporting, and performance metrics for PACS plans, budget, and business success metrics.
  • Develop and implement a strategic communications strategy to support business and corporate goals
  • Enhance our corporate reputation through stakeholder and media engagements, community affairs and sustainability activities.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience in public affairs in public and/or private sector organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience in navigating matrix organizations and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven success in developing and executing national and regional stakeholder engagement strategies, while expanding and strengthening stakeholder networks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and influence business outcomes.
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented when managing challenging regulatory issues and crisis situations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage divergent local stakeholders and synthesize multiple concepts to define and execute long-term public affairs, communications and sustainability strategies and work plans.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
