IAM Engineer - SailPoint

About The Role:

Rubrik is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SailPoint Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IAM, the successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IAM solutions leveraging SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC). This pivotal role involves configuring SailPoint, developing bespoke rules and workflows, and integrating the platform with diverse enterprise systems to ensure secure and compliant access to organizational resources. The engineer will also be instrumental in critical functions such as user provisioning, access certifications, and the timely resolution of SailPoint-related issues.

What You'Ll Do

• Design and Implementation:Develop and implement IAM solutions, including user provisioning, access control, authentication, and authorization mechanisms, using SailPoint. 
• Application Onboarding: Configure and optimize SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC), facilitating seamless integration with various applications and systems, and customizing workflows and rules to meet organizational requirements
• Access Governance & Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring strict adherence to established security policies and compliance mandates.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for IAM technical issues, offering comprehensive support to end-users and internal teams regarding access-related inquiries, and maintaining meticulous documentation.
• Compliance & Security Assurance: Uphold and enforce compliance with security policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices pertinent to Identity and Access Management.
• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor the SailPoint environment, diagnose and remediate performance bottlenecks, and ensure the sustained health, stability, and availability of the IAM infrastructure.
• Documentation:Creating and maintaining technical documentation for IAM processes, solutions, and configurations

Experience You'Ll Need

• Experience:Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with a demonstrably strong focus on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) or comparable enterprise-grade IAM platforms (e.g., Saviynt, OneLogin, Microsoft Entra ID, Oracle Identity Governance).
• Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC)  platform, including its features (Dynamic access roles, Password management, Access certification, Account management, Automated provisioning, Compliance Control, Data access Governance, Reporting, Role management, Access request, Identity Analytics, Identity lifecycle management, Identity Governance, Access Management, Privileged access management (pam)), the platform functionalities, and best practices. Ability to learn new technologies.
• Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java or Python, coupled with strong scripting skills in BeanShell/JavaScript or similar for connector development and customization.
• Cloud Technologies:Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• IAM Foundational Knowledge:Familiarity with IAM principles, including advanced provisioning, user lifecycle management, access reviews, and robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) methodologies.
• IAM Protocols:Familiarity with various authentication and authorization mechanisms and protocols, including SSO, SCIM, MFA, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.
• Communication:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide technical guidance.

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Relevant Certifications: SailPoint ISC or IdentityIQ Engineer certification or other relevant IAM certifications. 
• Experience with other IAM Technologies: Experience with other IAM tools like Okta.
