How You Will Make an Impact

Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Engineering at Atlas Energy Solutions leads the Engineering and Technical Services teams to drive product improvements, support processes, and technical training. This role ensures Atlas' technical capabilities, resources, and operating structure effectively meet customer demands and align with the company’s strategic goals.

SVP, Engineering and Innovation

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (required)
• 10 years of relevant experience
• Prior leadership in engineering/technical teams within power systems or industrial manufacturing, with focus on energy conversion, storage, or generation (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen organizational performance, service, and quality while maintaining top safety and customer standards
• Develop and improve engineering processes, tools, and KPIs in a goal- and data-driven culture
• Lead operational improvement programs to enhance profitability and efficiency
• Oversee design, testing, and manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards
• Monitor generator fleet issues, field lessons learned, and drive continuous product improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally across design, purchasing, production, and inspection
• Manage engineering staff: hiring, development, top-grading, and performance management
• Provide technical presentations, annual plans, budgets, and updates to senior leadership and board
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Skills & Abilities

• Proven leadership with ability to build and scale high-performing teams
• Strong financial acumen to manage engineering resources and budgets
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SolidWorks; PowerBI experience a plus
• High integrity, proactive management style, and commitment to excellence

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Effective communication in person and by phone
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing
