The NFL is hiring a Coordinator in our NFL Media Strategy & Business Development department, which oversees the strategy, distribution, and licensing of NFL content across all media platforms.  The Coordinator, Media Strategy & Business Development will assist in the management of existing NFL media partnerships with a focus on partnership program compliance, partner satisfaction, driving incremental revenue and fan engagement.

Group Overview:

The NFL Media Strategy & Business Development  (“BD”) department oversees the strategy, distribution, and licensing of NFL content across all media platforms. Its core mandate is to grow the business of the National Football League by distributing content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, increases revenue for the business, and creates long-term strategic value for the 32 member clubs. The group’s work includes market and competitive analysis, new business development, business and rights valuation, deal negotiation, go-to-market process management, and ongoing execution and management of media partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Help oversee day-to-day activity with current partners to ensure contractual obligations are met and all partnerships are mutually successful:
    • Support existing NFL social partnerships across major technology platforms including X, YouTube, Snapchat, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, Overtime, Bleacher Report, Front Office Sports, Betches Media, Remezcla Media Group, The Gist, FOX Free to Play & The Athletic,
    • Support existing partnerships within the audio, publishing, streaming, data, and photography spaces, across partners including, Westwood One, SiriusXM, iHeart Media, YouTube, EverPass, Genius Sports, Minute Media, and The Associated Press
    • Support strategic projects that drive growth of the owned and operated assets of the NFL
  • Play a meaningful role in all aspects of NFL media partnerships, from collaborating with existing large-scale partners to proactively identifying potential new business partners
  • Assist with the coordination of event operations and partner activations at all NFL tentpole events, while providing hospitality for a wide range of NFL partners
  • Manage creative approval process for media partners, ensuring all partner marketing & sales campaigns utilizing NFL IP follow contractual terms and adhere to NFL guidelines
  • Assist in the management of departmental budgets tied to ticketing, partnership hospitality, and NFL events
  • Build strong working relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional NFL groups (e.g., Consumer Products, Communications/ Public Affairs, Events, Finance, Football Operations, HR/Facilities, International Marketing, Legal, Media,  Sales, Social, Sponsorship & others)
  • Tracking and reporting on relevant industry news and partnerships performance, including thoughtfully managing up to communicate partnership or other relevant updates

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in a business environment with a focus on fast-paced, strategic work
  • Deep interest & knowledge in digital & social media industry, especially streaming audio, video, and social media platforms
  • Active consumer of digital media content and active fan of spectator sports with an ability to relate to the user experience of sports fans and visitors to NFL Media properties
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently produce written materials in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail, especially when multi-tasking across multiple projects in a demanding fast-paced environment
  • Confident personal style that can persuade and motivate others to be responsive to accomplish corporate goals
  • Passion for building and maintaining valuable relationships with key partners
  • Unwavering commitment to honest and ethical business interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling a plus (internship and coursework experience okay)
  • Experience managing large-scale partnerships a plus (internship experience okay)

Expected Hours Of Work:

  • NFL employees are required to work a minimum 40 hours per week in the New York office. This role may require additional hours.

Salary / Pay Range:

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary $65,000$75,000 USD
