Job Description

About The Role

As MSM, you will be the scientific face of Sobi in the Nordics & Baltics, working closely with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare providers, and medical societies—primarily within nephrology. You will deliver high-quality scientific communications, shape medical strategies, and ensure access to Sobi’s groundbreaking therapies at hospital level.

You will independently drive initiatives, from scientific presentations and advisory boards to field feedback and clinical collaborations. Your work will create real value for patients by enabling the right use of our technologies.

This position will be based in Stockholm, south of Sweden or Copenhagen, reporting directly to the Medical Director NorBalt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong collaborations with KOLs, scientific experts, and medical stakeholders.
  • Deliver impactful scientific communication and education, both externally and internally.
  • Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans to support patient access.
  • Organise and lead scientific advisory boards in partnership with HQ.
  • Represent Sobi at key national, regional, and global congresses.
  • Provide medical input for local tactics, regional plans, and business development opportunities.
  • Stay at the forefront of therapeutic and regulatory trends, ensuring scientific excellence in all activities.

Qualifications

About You

You are a science-driven communicator who thrives on turning medical insights into meaningful impact for patients. With a strong background in medicine or life sciences, you know how to navigate healthcare systems and build trusted relationships with KOLs and decision-makers.

You’re equally comfortable presenting complex data as you are collaborating across teams, and you bring both independence and a team spirit to your work. Integrity, empathy, and curiosity drive you—and you’re motivated by making a real difference in the lives of people with rare diseases.

Your Background

  • A degree in medicine, life science, or a related field.
  • Experience in medical affairs or an international Life Science setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and access pathways.
  • Excellent communication in English and a Nordic language.
  • (Bonus) Experience in nephrology and an additional European language.

Here at Sobi we live by our core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership!

Sobi Culture

At Sobi, we refuse to accept the status quo. This is because we have witnessed first-hand the challenges facing those affected by rare diseases and have used this knowledge to shape our business to find new ways of helping them.

As a specialized biopharmaceutical company, we are dedicated to rare diseases. And we see this focus as a strength. By effectively turning our research into ground-breaking treatments, we help make medicine more accessible and open up more possibilities for patients and more opportunities for those caring for them. This has been our approach since day one, but we know we can’t change the world of rare diseases on our own. Accomplishing this requires strong partnerships with patients, partners and stakeholders across the entire value chain. Together, we define how our business can create solutions that serve the needs of those affected by rare diseases while facilitating sustainable growth.
