Distribution Manager

Candidate is responsible for the implementation of the Country distribution strategy on a national level, the development implementation of the national distribution plans and for securing the co-ordination of all national cross divisional distribution activities from INST side.

  • Establishes own development plan with support from supervisor
  • Trains other team members on best practices for generating new  business and driving net sales

Relationship

  • Build up and maintain regular personal contacts with key distributors
  • Manage relations to all relevant internal interfaces (e.g. company managers, local divisions, European Distribution Organization)
  • Contribute to all national or cross-functional issues (pricing, marketing, launches, sales promotions)

Innovation

  • Establish and encourage team to find new ways of doing business and increase sales in coordination with supervisor.
  • Develop new channels with associated product mix
  • Organize dedicated sales actions and promotions

Delivering Results

  • Develop and implement a national divisional distribution strategy including planning and controlling in line with European distribution strategy.
  • Plan, implement and control all budgeting activities in the area of responsibility
  • Define annual objectives and targets together with the distribution partners
  • Provide an adequate reporting of distribution results to local sales leadership and provide information to division manager
  • Report results of customer contacts and planned activities according to guidelines, according to the standards and systems
  • Monitor and report markets in own are of responsibility (customer needs, competitors, prices)
  • Follow given guidelines and processes
  • Meeting sales targets (sales growth, new business, existing business volumes)
  • Pricing performance,
  • New and lost accounts
  • Annual business growth plan with key local distribution partners

Required:

  • Graduate level or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a distribution business related environment (janitorial & food)
  • Country specific and fluent English language skills
  • PC skills
  • Communication, presentation, negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge in finance
