Junior SAP ABAP Developer

Major Duties And Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Support SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, or HCM by implementing custom solutions and enhancements.
• Participate in technical design discussions and translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues in existing ABAP code and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Document technical specifications and development activities for future reference and compliance.
• Stay updated on SAP best practices and new technologies to continuously improve development standards.
• Utilize and apply best practices on projects based on experience and in consultation with experts; appropriately tailored for the client and their culture
• Contribute to knowledge base of the SAP Practice

Skills And Experience:

• Basic understanding of SAP architecture and modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with ABAP programming including classical reports, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and SmartForms.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and performance optimization techniques in SAP.
• Knowledge of SAP development lifecycle and transport management system.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 or CDS views is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced SAP development environment.

Education And/Or Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• SAP ABAP certification or completion of SAP-related training programs is highly desirable.
• Internship or academic project experience in SAP ABAP development is a strong advantage.
• Hybrid work location (require travel to client site around 20% of the time)
