The Senior Director, Strategic Advisory is a leadership role, responsible collaborating closely with senior leadership to provide high-level guidance on critical business decisions and supporting the development of innovative strategies that enhances the organization's competitive positioning and market share.
The role is pivotal in assessing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and mitigating potential challenges, all while ensuring alignment with our company's long-term goals.
This role necessitates strong leadership skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a talent for fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture across the team(s) within their remit.
Key responsibilities:
- Provides broad strategic guidance, analysis, and recommendations to the leadership team, while collaborating cross-functionally to drive business performance and innovation.
- Identifies emerging industry trends and competitive landscapes to anticipate challenges and capitalize on growth areas.
- Contributes to the definition, refinement and communicate the company's strategic vision to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducts comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential growth markets, customer segments, and new business opportunities.
- Assesses the competitive landscape, including evaluating competitors' strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
- Provides actionable insights based on market intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
- Identifies and evaluates potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Identifies opportunities for revenue diversification and expansion into new markets.
- Contributes to the development of financial models and projections for strategic initiatives.
- Evaluates the financial feasibility and potential risks associated with strategic projects.
- Monitors and assesses the financial performance of existing initiatives against strategic objectives.
- Provides strategic guidance and insights to support the development of new products, services, and initiatives.
- Act as an internal thought leader, sharing insights and recommendations through presentations, reports, and discussions.
- Leads and mentor a team of strategic analysts and advisors, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

- Excellent business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics and strategic planning.

- Vast understanding of global market dynamics, cultural differences, and international expansion strategies.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
Required experience:
- Significantly vast experience gained in a similar role within a global services technology organization.
- Significantly vast proven track record of successfully driving strategic initiatives and achieving business outcomes.
- Significantly vast experience gained in a senior strategic advisory role, ideally within a relevant industry.
- Significantly vast experience in building complex financial models to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, investments, and business decisions.
- Significantly vast experience leading and managing a team of strategic advisory / planning professionals.
