The Role

This role is key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.  

You will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Monitoring

• Proactive monitoring of routine Batch, Cloud, and DATA ecosystem components.
• Ensure proper execution of routine processes and components through monitoring and incident response.
• Diagnose routine processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Diagnose processes and implement opportunities for improvement.

Level 1 Support

• Incident workaround, identification of recurring problems and workarounds, creation of WOs and tool incidents, tracking the status of support tickets (reports, alerts, management improvements).
• Automation and development of short-term functionalities or low-complexity pipelines, recurring and/or new tools and processes.
• Definition of basic processes such as roles and access
• Staff training on tools and pipeline usage

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Demonstrates 1-2 years of experience in:

Monitoring

• Experience using technologies: PL/SQL, Oracle, Websphere Classic Federation, IIS > 11.7.x, QlikSense. Oracle, DataStage required. Level: Low Priority: Required.
• Experience using batch tools (CA, ControlM). Level: Low Priority: Required.
• Experience using Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, Sqoop, Hbase). Experience using the Cloudera Suite. Level: Low Priority: Required
• Experience using Azure (Data). Level: Low Priority: Desired.
• Handling UNIX systems: Linux, AIX. Linux required. Level: Low Priority: Required.
• Code version control tools. Level: Low Priority: Desired.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams. Scrum or agile practices (Continuous Integration, pair programming). Level: Low. Priority: Desired.

Level 1 Support

• Develop basic automations for simple tasks (e.g., scripts to restart services, install fixes, upgrades).
• Knowledge of software development processes, incidents, and problems.
• DevOps Fundamentals Certification (Required).
• Certification in Cloud Fundamentals (Preferred in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals). (Required).
