The Role

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will develop solutions in specific domains such as Security, Systems, Databases, Networking Solutions, and more. You will be a leader – contributing knowledge, guidance, technical expertise, and team leadership skills. Your leadership will be demonstrated in your work, to your customers, and within your teams.

Your aim throughout, is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of technology and technical methods and methodologies.

Driving the design, development, integration, delivery, and evolution of highly scalable distributed software you will integrate with other layers and offerings. You will provide deeper functionality and solutions to address customer needs. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams to get high-quality products and features through the agile software development lifecycle.

Your continuous grooming of features/user stories to estimate, identify technical risks/dependencies and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders will ensure the features are delivered with the right quality and within timeline. You will maintain and drive the clearing of technical debt, vulnerabilities, and currency of the 3rd party components within the product.

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will also coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available, secure, distributed software in a scalable architecture. Responsibilities:

  • Level 2 Support: Design, programming, and execution of solutions to reported problems. * Automation and development of recurring and/or new functionalities, tools, and processes (Intermediate Level).
  • Creation of POCs for new tools for exploration and possible future implementation.
  • Definition/Implementation of new frameworks.
  • Analysis, development of DevSecOps tool integrations, and creation of medium-complexity pipelines. * Support and coaching of previous-level members.
  • Plan and design automation according to available practices and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with security guidelines at the development level and tool use.
  • Identify bugs in the code being developed and correct them.
  • Ability to self-learn new programming languages.
  • Identify opportunities for code reuse, loose coupling, and complexity reduction
  • Design automation and application tests
  • Ability to propose improvements to processes, pipelines, performance, and monitoring

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrate 2 to 3 years of experience developing software applications (experience in CI/CD for mobile applications, for Android/iOS, and knowledge of the different stores where new versions of web, mobile, etc. applications are deployed).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience creating pipelines of intermediate complexity involving the following technologies: Shell scripting, Ansible, Groovy
  • Minimum 1 year of experience deploying components in Kubernetes.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience troubleshooting issues of intermediate complexity using DevSecOps tools

Competencies:

  • Be recognized as an expert in the Front-end specialty within your team/squad (Must be an expert in CI/CD practices for front-end applications/components, in practices such as compilation, deployment types, obfuscation, SCA, SAST, and deploying them automatically).
  • Participates in the design of initiatives that impact the minimum DevSecOps metrics for Deployment Time and Production Rollup
  • DevOps Fundamentals Certification (Required)
  • Cloud Fundamentals Certification (Preferred in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) (Required)
  • Scrum Framework
  • Works without the need for immediate supervision
  • Focus on metrics and constant value delivery
  • Effective communication
  • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
