Summary Of The Job:

The Commercial Credit Analyst Intern will be a part of our credit analyst teams. Through this work, the intern will develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO Credit group, business practices and operations through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.

About This Role:

Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental credit analysis tasks  
  • Participate in corporate internship program activities such as educational workshops, social events, and community outreach 
  • Engage with personnel in other bank departments including Operations, Relationship Management, and Loan Documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the loan lifecycle and build cross-functional relationships 

Duties May Include

  • Assisting in the preparation of loan presentation packets (credit memos) for new credit requests, loan renewals and annual reviews 
  • Spread and analyze financial information for borrowers, related entities, and guarantors. 
  • Aid in ongoing monitoring of loan covenants to ensure that borrowers remain in compliance with all covenants as specified in the loan agreement. 
  • Verify accuracy of financial information in credit systems 
  • Gain knowledge of financial analysis of different financial statements, industries and loan types 
  • Exposure to bank credit systems and financial spreading tools 
  • Work collaboratively with experienced credit and banking professionals 
  • Participate in department meetings and training sessions

Program Requirements

  • Must be a current university student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field 
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher 
  • Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
