The MAPP solution provides a centralized digital framework for managing, documenting, and approving interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), government officials, and third-party entities across global markets. As the Technical Lead for the MAPP Navigator China team, you will drive the end-to-end architecture strategy, implementation and support for the MAPP China program—encompassing technology, business processes, data, security, and solution design—while ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) requirements.
In this role, you will need to work collaboratively and negotiate with individuals outside your direct authority to achieve the business strategy.

Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the Appian application, integrations, infrastructure
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture, CTIES, and Global Information Security teams to ensure technical implementations are aligned to enterprise standards and strategic direction.
- Guide teams on technology, data, security and application architecture in cohesion with overall strategy, technical standards and evolution of the solution architecture
- Ensure development team is building reusable and scalable components in accordance with best practices.
- Ensure platforms comply with security and data governance frameworks, and address non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Mentor and coach technical team members (e.g., developers)
- Maintains a pulse on industry developments in architecture to ensure Pfizer’s architecture addresses future needs
- Work with developers by seeking to identify platform opportunities within the China market and at the enterpriseto drive opportunities and maintain optimally sized teams
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Seasoned developer or technical lead with deep insight into newest technologies and trends
- History of making architecture decisions at a large enterprise level application
- Track record of success in defining architecture artifacts for complex solutions
- Experience in architecting back and front-end solutions with multiple types of architecture
- Proven experience in Agile software development and backlog management.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, security frameworks, and technology trends.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing cross-functional collaboration
- Strong experience in managing on-premises IT platform, network and software.
- Deep knowledge of Appian platform features, Appian administration, process modeling, data management, user interfaces, and integrations.
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure setup and maintenance
- Knowledge of UNIX operating systems, including shell scripting
- Knowledge of application/platform performance monitoring and reporting
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable solutions using AWS Cloud infrastructure, including microservices architecture and cloud-native capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of corporate enterprise and compliance systems
- Agile software development experience, with specific architect (or similar) experience
- Knowledge of on-premise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, Cloudfare and firewalls, and enterprise architecture principles and frameworks around on-premise networking
- Knowledge of database maintenance
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as RESTful services and SOAP.
