SWBC is seeking a talented individual to assist in operational, financial, and compliance process audits designed to determine the adequacy of internal controls and the degree of compliance with policies, laws, and federal regulations. Responsible for the timely completion of audits in a manner that is consistent with the professional standards of conduct of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Essential Duties Include The Following:

  • Assists the Lead Auditor in operational, financial, and compliance audit engagements designed to determine the adequacy of internal controls and the degree of compliance with policies, laws, and federal regulations.  
  • Conducts fieldwork, prepares work papers, and performs data analytics, as needed.  
  • Drafts deficiencies and recommendations and presents potential audit findings to audit management.  Drafts audit reports for assigned audits.
  • Participates in IT audits and other special projects for various business units within the organization. 
  • Participates in the audit planning and risk rating processes, including the identification and assessment of organizational, operational, and information technology risks.
  • Performs remediation follow-up to monitor adequacy and timely completion of remediation plans. 
  • Establishes relationships with audit clients.  
  • Communicates and interacts effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Maintains organizational and professional ethical standards, as well as promotes and fosters an environment that adheres to SWBC's Core Values.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance, Accounting, or Management, from an accredited college or four-year university required.         
  • Basic understanding of audit terminology, practices, and documentation standards.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory environments applicable to the financial services industry.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong planning and execution skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Able to perform multiple work assignments.
  • Able to employ sound judgement in making rapid and complex decisions.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion in sensitive matters. 
  • Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
