Manager / Assistant Manager (Aviation Development)

[What the role is]

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore’s raison d’etre is to develop the air hub and aviation industry in Singapore, expanding Singapore’s links to the rest of the world. We enable opportunities through aviation, making connections, opening doors and enabling choices in people’s lives.

[What you will be working on]

As part of the Aviation Industry Division, you will be actively involved in industry transformation efforts for the air transport sector.

You will work in teams to engage with industry stakeholders such as the airport operator, airlines and airport ground handlers to transform key operational areas such as passenger services, baggage operations and terminal operations. You will help formulate appropriate industry development strategies and initiatives to encourage technology experimentation and innovation so as to boost productivity, create value for businesses and passengers and improve jobs for our workers.

You will be involved in ensuring smooth and safe operations on the ground, including at Seletar Airport and the Changi Airfreight Centre, working with stakeholders to ensure safe management measures are well implemented and complied with during the pandemic period.   

You will need good interpersonal skills to forge consensus among different stakeholders, as well as conviction and energy to push boundaries and encourage change.

[What we are looking for]

• Training in any discipline, preferably Engineering, Economics or Business  
• Related working experience in planning or project management will be an advantage 
• Independent, self-motivated, resilient, resourceful, a good team player and ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills 

Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure in subsequent renewal.
