Duties And Responsibilities

  • Identifies immediate protection from harm action was taken to ensure the health and welfare of the individual or take appropriate action.
  • Assures investigations comply with contract timelines
  • Assures proper referrals made to external investigatory entities as required.
  • Approves/denies case management prevention plan.
  • Completes Quality Assurance review of investigations (high profile and random sample)
  • Serves as a resource for investigator teams.
  • Trains/ teaches/ collaborates/oversees of investigator team.
  • Approves comprehensive written summary of investigations.
  • Assures compliance and cooperation with investigations led by law enforcement, and other agencies, or any approved investigatory entity.
  • Assists with investigations as needed, including coordinate with law enforcement, county children’s services, adult protective units, county board of developmental disabilities, or any other entity as needed.
  • Reviews all relevant documents.
  • Documents investigative activities, including discovery of all elements of the incident.
  • Conducts and documents interviews with individuals who may have relevant information. For incidents involving abuse, neglect, exploitation or suspicious death, attempt to complete face-to- face (in person or via web technology) interviews to evaluate the credibility of the witnesses
  • Makes the appropriate referrals to other agencies or licensing boards at the conclusion of the investigation
  • Writes an investigation summary report and develop a prevention plan at the conclusion of any investigation
  • Assists with or complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Ability to think critically, incorporating multiple factors into larger concepts

  • Must be computer literate and have MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills

  • Strong decision making, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and adhering to strict standards

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or 6 years’ experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6 years paid experience in home and community based services (HCBS), specifically experience with any of the following: incident investigation, assuring individual health and welfare, quality assurance, clinical; risk management, the mental health system, or interfacing with law enforcement, nursing homes, children services, adult protective services, or the Department of Developmental Disabilities
  • A Licensed registered nurse (RN), a licensed social worker (LSW, LISW), Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board, or licensed counselor (LPC, LPCC)

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Range: $65,200-$85,700
