Job Overview:

As a VP, Quality Engineering Manager, you’ll serve as a strong and versatile technical leader. Successful leaders at LPL communicate well with teams and leaders of the organization, have active listening skills, ask great questions, and provide good development feedback. The primary purpose of this position is to develop software quality assurance strategies. This includes designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using agentic AI approach, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure high-quality software releases.

The individual in this role will work closely with development teams, stakeholders and cross functional teams to identify risks and implement mitigation plans to meet the timelines and deliver high quality products. prevent software defects and improve overall system reliability. The ideal candidate should have experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS and scripting languages like Python or Typescript. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.

Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate is a servant leader who can strategically lead multiple parallel initiatives – big and small - with attention to detail, manage outcomes, and is passionate about Software Quality Engineering.

  • Lead a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET’s) working in Agile model supporting delivery teams to achieve consistent, predictable, high quality releases by implementing common practices, tools, metrics, automation frameworks and oversight and delivering high quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative and rapidly changing environment.
  • Manage resources across different geographical locations and offshore vendors
  • Work as a leader/trainer in a large, complex QA organization, with a demonstrated ability to implement scalable automation solutions
  • Drive innovative testing solutions within a complex Enterprise Platform
  • Educate the team with Security
  • Attract, hire, empower, and develop the best engineers    
  • Driving quality metrics to improve customer quality
  • Drive release efficiency, reduce regression cycle time, and time to market
  • Drive higher test coverage through advanced strategies and team upskilling on securities trading domain knowledge.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a combination of one of the following:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading large teams
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services domain. Commissions, Fee billing or Move money experience will be a plus.
  • Experience with ETL, reporting testing, data quality rules, data lineage will be a plus
  • Experience with SQL, DB, postgress, snowflake, hands-on experience in development (Python, Java, JavaScript,or any other object-oriented programming language), execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts
  • Experience with ETL
  • Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo, GIT, Code Linters, Code Coverage tools, BDD, CI/CD etc.
  • Experience with agentic AI automation tools, create self-healing scripts to improve efficiency.
  • Solid experience in guiding teams on test strategy, automation strategy and leading e2e testing by partnering across teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or similar, plus a minimum of 18 years of experience
  • OR master’s degree, Computer Science or similar, plus a minimum of 15 years of experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Pay Range:

$138,488-$230,813/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
