About The Role

As our Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining a resilient, cost-effective, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure. This position will drive our insourcing strategy, strengthen internal capabilities, and support future cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

• Azure: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. Manage and monitor Azure infrastructures for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Platform Development: Collaborate on new features and infrastructure improvements. Enhance platform capabilities for self-service, automation, and standardization.
• Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-related issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions. Manage incident processes and communicate with stakeholders.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain platform documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
• Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance and scalability. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.

About You:

• Proven hands-on experience across core Azure services, with the ability to design, build and support enterprise-grade solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure networking services including Front Door, Application Gateway (WAF), Traffic Manager, Load Balancers, VNets, and Private Endpoints.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Function Apps, API Management, and related PaaS offerings.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytic and Application Insights for proactive performance monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and networking security controls (firewalls, NSGs).
• Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automating software delivery processes
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell) to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and share knowledge with team members.
