Brown Advisory is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Global Marketing Specialist to support the growth of their Institutional and PCEF (Private Client, Endowments & Foundations) businesses. This role is ideal for a marketing professional with 7-10 years of experience in asset or wealth management who is passionate about storytelling, messaging, and delivering high-impact marketing initiatives across global markets.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you will work closely with the regional marketing, investment, product, and client-facing teams, to shape and execute a global marketing strategy that communicates the value of our investment offerings to a sophisticated audience of institutional and private clients. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, project management expertise, and a global mindset.
This role is U.S.-based, ideally in Baltimore with occasional travel as needed. If located elsewhere, significant time in the Baltimore office will be required. Support with relocation to Baltimore can also be considered.
The Global Head of Marketing is based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Global Head of Marketing to shape and execute a global marketing and communications strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Serve as a deputy to the Global Head of Marketing, representing the global marketing function in the US.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Messaging team on corporate communications, brand, digital platforms, and events.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for the Institutional and PCEF businesses, ensuring consistency of message across regions and channels.
- Lead end-to-end management of global marketing projects and campaigns, including:
- Coordinate with regional marketing teams and colleagues (US, UK/Europe, APAC, Middle East) to localize and distribute global content effectively.
- Manage go-to-market strategies for new investment products and services, working with the regional team to support the launch of local offerings when needed.
- Oversee relationships with PR agencies in the US and UK; support media engagement and communications.
- Support internal and client communications (e.g., new hires, office openings, client letters).
- As a senior member of the team, support in mentoring junior members and contributing to the team culture will be pivotal to this role.
- Contribute to internal marketing initiatives such as audits, reporting (including tracking and interpreting campaign performance) and technology implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce innovative marketing approaches.
- Track and analyze marketing performance data to inform future strategies.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across global offices, including business development, legal, compliance, and regional marketing teams.
- Global content production (e.g., sustainability reporting, thought leadership, articles, videos, podcasts)
- Webinar planning and execution
- Oversight of email marketing for brand consistency and accuracy
- Support and contribution to social media strategy and distribution
- Development of global product and service collateral
Qualifications
- 7-10 years’ experience working in asset management and/or private client marketing ideally with experience in multiple markets – suitable for someone looking to support a busy team and provide guidance, oversight and leadership when needed.
- Proven in-depth product, market, regulatory and industry knowledge, and ability to demonstrate this understanding in the creation and execution of marketing strategies and materials.
- Understanding of financial data to help develop narratives that support current market and position of investment offerings.
- Ability to create clear goals and prioritize to ensure timeframes are agreed and deadlines met.
- Demonstrated track record of success in steering marketing, including:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency at prioritization, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, and the ability to operate under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with cross-functional and multi-channel teams (e.g., sales/marketing, client service, investment, management, legal/compliance, performance/data).
- A true team player, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally.
- Assertive, intellectually curious and creative with a solid investment background and acumen.
- Flexible and able to succeed in an autonomous, dynamic, and highly functional team.
- Requirement to work in an office location – ideally Baltimore or Washington DC.
- Development and management of strategic campaigns e.g. new strategy launches, new office opening etc.
- Ability to tailor materials for different audiences and use different mediums (e.g., print, digital and video), ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
- Management of compliance oversight and coordination to ensure all materials adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls in place for audit purposes.
- A desire and proven ability to write and edit publications would be a plus, e.g. draft and edit stories, white papers and scripts that cover the full range of Brown Advisory’s offerings to its clients.
- Proficiency with data and data visualization to enable development of chart/graph/visual concepts (for subsequent implementation by designers).
- Some knowledge of markets outside of the US preferred.

Salary: $150K-$175K Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
