As a Reliability / Maintenance Engineer at our Nemours site, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the reliability strategy across the cluster. You will lead modernization and automation initiatives, support multiple plants, and be a key driver of optimization and growth projects. With several major Capex projects planned over the next five years, this is a highly impactful role at the center of Sibelco’s operational transformation.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Reliability / Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies across machinery and infrastructure.
  • Overseeing activities across Nemours cluster sites (including subsidiary plants in Compiègne, Bourron-Marlotte, Crépy-en-Valois, Montgru St Hilaire).
  • Harmonizing processes and standards in CMMS, TPM, and RCM.
  • Establishing and supervising preventive & predictive maintenance policies.
  • Analyzing failure data (OEE, MTBF, MBDT, Yield, Energy Consumption, Labor Productivity) and implementing improvement measures.
  • Driving automation and digitalization projects, with a strong emphasis on PLC systems and industrial process automation.
  • Assessing modernization needs in machinery and infrastructure, and generating optimization solutions including cost proposals for Capex.
  • Supporting the implementation of multi-year Capex projects together with Site Leaders and the Director of Operations.
  • Developing technical competence within the group by mentoring, training, and auditing plant teams.
  • Optimizing spare parts management and overall maintenance costs.
  • Planning and monitoring plant maintenance budgets.
  • Preparing performance reports and advising management on technical improvements.
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and site leaders.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Higher technical education in Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in maintenance management or reliability engineering within industrial manufacturing (e.g. automotive, aeronautics, hardware manufacturing, food & agro).
  • Strong understanding of reliability systems such as TPM and RCM, with proven experience in preventive & predictive maintenance.
  • Expertise in automation and PLCs, with a track record of implementing automation or digitalization projects.
  • Analytical capability using KPIs such as OEE, MTBF, MBDT, Yield, Energy Consumption, and Labor Productivity.
  • Solid project management background for modernization and optimization initiatives.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, and improvement-driven approach.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse plant teams and communicate effectively with both operators and management.
  • Structured and process-driven but adaptable to evolving challenges.
  • English at a communicative level (European training is conducted in English).
  • Proficiency in French.
