The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as either a Senior Field Technical Specialist or a Field Technical Expert (depending on the candidate’s background and level of expertise) within our CRM Division.

 As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve patients’ quality of life with solutions to help Physicians treat people with slow heart rates, heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

This Role is based in Victoria and is responsible for providing technical expertise at implant and follow up as well as troubleshooting when required. 

You will be Supporting the Territory Managers and Clinicians with Pacemaker and ICD clinics as a core component of this role.

What You’Ll Do

• Support implantation of Abbott Cardiac Rhythm Management’s range of pacemakers, defibrillators and CRT devices.
• Be pivotal in case support, device implantation and promotion of the Abbott Aveir Leadless Pacemaker Portfolio (AR/VR/DR Devices).
• Conduct and provide technical support and advice at post implantation follow ups, hospital clinics and in room Physician clinics.
• Attend didactic training and complete course exams.
• Maintain and update product knowledge.
• Conduct education/training with hospital staff, you will be able to impart highly technical information in a clear and easily understandable manner.
• Commence education towards IBHRE certification (If not already holding this qualification)
• Develop a clear understanding of sales force effectiveness (SFE) imperatives by undertaking sales skills training and engaging with territory managers to understand the objectives designed to drive business growth.
• Identify customer needs and Sales Opportunities with the appropriate Territory Managers, Area Sales Managers and Business Development Managers.
• Assist with product marketing, conference technical support and device launches.
• Support Sales Team Customer Calls utilizing your Technical Expertise.
• Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity.
• Comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical, Engineering, Medical Science, Human Movement or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) essential.
• Minimum 5 year working with CRM products.
• This role requires participation in the relevant on-call roster applicable to your role.
• Low and High Voltage CRM Product Certification is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

• IBHRE certification is preferred.
• Leadless pacemaker implant experience is highly preferred
• You will be required to be highly organized, self-motivated, with an ability to work well within a Team Environment and Autonomously.
