We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our data centre construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing mechanical systems critical to the operation of high-performance data centres. This includes HVAC, cooling systems, fire suppression, and plumbing infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.Job Description
About The Role:
- Design and review mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, CRAC units, and fire suppression systems
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall data centre design
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for mechanical components
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Manage contractors and vendors during construction and commissioning phases
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in data centre or mission-critical facility construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
