Soft Goods Technician

Status: Full-time; Hourly + Overtime eligible

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm (hours may fluctuate)

In this position, you will be making a difference each and every day. We are committed to making every type of property damage “Like it never even happened®!”  This position focuses on the laundering and cleaning of soft goods that come out of a fire or other type of loss.  Our Soft Goods department consists of state-of-the-art facilities and cleaning equipment to properly perform all stages of cleaning soft goods.  Items are then professionally wrapped or boxed for storage and for placement back into home or business. 

 Key Responsibilities

·         Perform and evaluate restoration activities including but not limited to, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and cleaning.·         Commute to jobsites for pack-out or pack-in’s.·         Inventory soft goods in Contents Track or icat application software.·         Learn and develop restoration skills to elevate the SERVPRO Brand and grow within the company.·         Operate and maintain Esporta and other cleaning equipment in Soft Goods department.·         Move items along Soft goods washing and drying cycles. ·         Hand washing delicate items.·         Steaming and or hang drying items.·         Maintaining towel and blanket service for Servpro internal productions.·         Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.·         Check workforce schedule daily for any upcoming changes in jobs.   ·         Perform production processes as directed. ·         Maintain an organized and clean workspace.·         Report to supervisor daily for direction and to receive job sensitive information and job progress. 
Position Requirements

·         Valid driver’s license·         Must be 18 years of age or older 
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

·         Detailed cleaning experience preferred·         This is an in-field and shop position with travel to and from jobs in company vehicle daily·         Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance·         Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)·         Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects·         Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
