Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Analyst supports Hiller’s evolution towards digitization and data driven culture. In this role you will be a key member of the Data & Analytics (D&A) team responsible for implementing analytical solutions for interal functional area customers. This will range from managing stakeholder value add projects to resolving data disconnects to proposing process improvements to improve needed data points. We’re seeking analytical candidates that can quantify and define problems accross the business to build models and solutions that improve our leader’s ability to make better decisions.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually. This is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of compensation for this role across the country. The final offer for this position will be determined by factors including geographic location, experience, skills and education.
Work Location: This a US-based fully remote position and includes up to 10% work travel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support The Hiller End-to-End BI Transformation
- Support the Implementation of Advanced Data Models and Decision Tools Per Use Case Under Guidance of BI Leads
- Maintain all stakeholder requests for data and analytics in a timely basis
- Be a primary point of contact for key stakeholders to get needed insights
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics or related field. Post graduate work a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or other data analysis, ideally in the fire protection or industrial space.
- Demonstrated Proficiency in SQL Data Querying, Collection, Performance Monitoring, Data Preparation, Validation, including Tableplus or similar database management system
- Demonstrated Proficiency in Data Manipulation and ETL Tools, such as ODBC Connectors and Power Query
- Advanced Proficiency in Data Visualization Tools including Tableau and Power BI, including best practices in dashboard optimization
- Demonstrated Proficiency in Data Manipulation and Data Analysis including, but not limited to the following in Excel:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to translate analytical work to end users at all levels of an organization and with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to thrive as a team member or individual contributor, while building relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Pivot Tables
- Calculated Fields
- Statistical Analysis (Linear Regression, ANOVA, etc)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Must be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computer
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
