MRI Supervisor - (Full Time) - MRI 7051

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full Time MRI Supervisor under the direction of the Director of Radiology/Assistant Director of Radiology/Medical Director of Radiology performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative.  Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required. Makes and approves all staffing schedules and handles MRI department issues regarding staff or patients. The MRI Supervisor is responsible for planning and overseeing all operational aspects and activities for assigned MRI, locations and support areas. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the major responsibilities are supervising all day-to-day operations including the delivery of care, patient satisfaction, equipment oversight and process improvement activities.  In addition to daily supervision, this individual will participate in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, supplies, budgeting and financial management and future programs and services.  The Supervisor is a positive, effective member of the Radiology/Medical Imaging management team, fostering a customer/patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards. The individual maintains collaborative multi-disciplinary relationships within and outside of the organization. 

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

MRSO preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology required. 

Holder of a valid and current: 

1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(MR).
2. Licensed in MRI as required by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners. 
3. Having supervisory and/or MRSO certification in magnetic resonance imaging is highly desirable. 

Experience:

Preferred 1 year experience as an MRI technologists 

Certifications/Skills:

ARRT RT(R)MR(R), BLS, required. MRSO- preferred.
