Morrow is seeking an experienced and strategically minded  Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead a core function within the Finance organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, while supporting the company’s broader financial governance and decision-making processes.

The position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, overseeing statutory and regulatory compliance, and driving improvements in accounting processes and systems.

This role is suited to a senior finance leader with a strong track record in managing complexity, leading teams through change, and upholding high standards of financial governance. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to build trust across functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the strategy for Accounting and Financial Reporting in alignment with Finance’s overall objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve governance, scalability, and cost-efficiency across the function.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage end-to-end accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Oversee tax, VAT, payroll, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Maintain and enhance the internal control framework to ensure reliability of financial information.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with Finance’s governance standards.
  • Lead the development and optimisation of systems and tools to support automation and scalability.
  • Ensure the preparation of technical accounting documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and other business units to ensure integration of financial data into planning and analysis.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Oversee outsourced accounting service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s in Accounting and Auditing (MRR) is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, controlling, and reporting, ideally with international exposure.
  • Experience with listed company reporting is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are beneficial.
  • Sector experience in energy, renewables, or manufacturing is considered a plus.

  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and sound business judgment.
