Civil Project Engineer – Site-Based

We are starting a new project near Dubbo and are now looking for a site-based Civil Project Engineer to join our team for a minimum 6-month project. This is a FIFO or DIDO role with accommodation provided. You’ll be working hands-on to help deliver civil infrastructure as part of a mining surface construction project.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support planning, scheduling, and execution of civil construction activities
• Translate project specs, permits, and drawings into work packs and execution plans
• Monitor site progress, identify and resolve technical issues
• Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on milestones and variations
• Assist with technical documentation, risk assessments, and change management
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to project meetings

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in civil or construction project engineering (mining experience highly regarded)
• Proficiency in interpreting multi-disciplinary drawings and construction documentation
• Strong site-based experience and understanding of safety, QA, and construction compliance
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Confident working independently in remote locations on rosters
• Familiarity with P6 or other scheduling tools (desirable)
• Able to commence work within the next 3-4 weeks
• Must be able to pass regular D&A testing and site required medicals
