Accounting Senior Specialist

The Accountant Senior Specialist is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance with internal policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, Italian Accounting Standards), and experience in ERP systems like SAP or similar. 

What You'Ll Do:

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

• Prepare and review accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, or Italian Accounting Standards. 
• Maintain general ledger accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. 
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, tax regulations. 
• Assist in the preparation of financial analysis reports. 
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Utilize financial software such as SAP, or other Business systems for reporting purposes. 
• Other accounting/compliance activities requested by the Associate Manager. 

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. 
• Reconcile bank accounts, GL accounts, and intercompany transactions. 
• Support cash flow management by monitoring receivables and payables. 
• Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity. 
• Collaborate with different departments (finance, operations, shared services) to improve financial workflows. 
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 
• 3+ years in accounting, preferably in an international or shared service environment. 
• Strong knowledge of SAP, HFM, or other ERP systems.
