About The Role

We are offering a permanent opportunity for an experienced Water Industry Technician. Based in Broome, you will be responsible for operating, repairing and maintaining advanced water/wastewater plants to optimize process and delivery outputs through monitoring, analysis and corrective action.

What you can expect with this role

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance in complex treatment plants (Chlorination, fluoridation, Caustic and media filtration).                                            
  • Using your full range of trade skills to operate and maintain a treatment plant.
  • Taking control of worksite including where contractors are employed.
  • Identifying faults and coordinating repairs (or within trade scope undertakes these). 
  • Participate in a 24/7 on call/standby roster.

About You

  • Trade Certificate - Electrical or Mechanical
  • Certificate III National Water Package (Treatment) or willing to work towards.
  • WA ‘C, MR’ Class driver’s licenses
  • Relevant High Risk Licences, LF, EWP, DG, CV
  • Trained and competent in Confined Space Entry
  • Trained and competent in the use of SCADA and atmospheric monitoring equipment
