Purpose: Lead a Process Engineering Team at Joints, Orthopaedics at J&J MedTech Cork, applying sophisticated technologies to deliver supply in a powerful manufacturing plant across EHS, quality, service and within budget.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Foster a Quality First, Safety Always culture.
- Develop and implement tactical plans to deliver strategic engineering goals aligned with site and company objectives.
- Collaborate across departments to position J&J MedTech Cork as a Best-in-Class orthopaedics facility.
- Lead engineering teams to deliver outstanding process reliability on current asset base
- Support daily operations, root cause analysis, and project management.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs, ensuring timely reporting and problem resolution.
- Lead budgets, optimize costs, reduce scrap, and report on financial performance.
- Maintain equipment, support capacity projects, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Define team responsibilities, conduct performance evaluations, and support staff development.
- Support new product/process introductions.
- Develop capital investment plans for capacity and cost improvements.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Science with 8-10 years in Maintenance/Operations/Engineering.
- Shown leadership, decision-making, and technical problem-solving skills.
- People management experience.
- Preferred: Experience in medical devices, manufacturing, metal casting, CNC machining, supervised industries, and Lean/Six Sigma certifications.

- Strong process and maintenance engineering expertise.
- Highly organized with a focus on continuous improvement and employee development.
