Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare real estate projects from conception through completion. This role requires a strategic leader with deep healthcare industry knowledge who can manage multi-million dollar projects while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management

  • Lead end-to-end project management for healthcare facility developments, renovations, and expansions ranging from $5M-$100M+
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, healthcare planners, and regulatory specialists
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction

Healthcare Expertise

  • Navigate complex healthcare regulations including HIPAA, ADA, Joint Commission standards, and local health department requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand clinical workflow requirements and translate them into facility design specifications
  • Manage specialized healthcare environments including acute care, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging facilities, and specialized treatment areas
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and medical equipment planning requirements

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary client contact for healthcare organizations, health systems, and medical practice groups
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings with hospital administrators, physicians, nursing staff, and facilities management teams
  • Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare clients and industry partners

Risk Management & Quality Assurance

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure all deliverables meet healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct quality reviews and coordinate commissioning activities for healthcare facilities
  • Manage change orders and contract modifications while protecting client interests

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 7+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years focused on healthcare projects
  • PMP certification required; additional healthcare-related certifications preferred
  • Proven track record managing projects >$10M in value
  • Deep understanding of healthcare facility planning, design, and construction processes
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (FGI Guidelines, NFPA 99, etc.)
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Previous experience with health system clients or hospital projects
  • LEED AP or other sustainability certifications
  • Experience with medical equipment planning and coordination
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) implementation and IT infrastructure requirements

  • Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in project management software, BIM coordination tools, and healthcare planning applications

Estimated Compensation For This Position:

140,000.00 – 160,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
