In the past five years, the majority of new cancer drugs approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation prior to approval.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing the strategic direction and providing oversight of contract negotiations and relations, credentialing, and value-based care, including the development of network contracting and value-based care for providers within Florida Cancer Specialists.
  • Drives initiatives that effectively and efficiently support and meet departmental, organizational, and regulatory goals and objectives.
  • Maintains strong understanding of revenue cycle metrics, mentors and leads team in building plans to support operational departments to achieve best practice performance through strong analytical capabilities, process improvement identification, and technology enhancements.  
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • At minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare experience in a multi-provider setting.
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Effectively lead and facilitate group discussions, coach, mentor, motivate, and engage others to align to a common goal. Ability to effectively lead projects from inception through implementation and assessment.
