Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University is accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant level within the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program effective August 2026. This appointment will be full-time (nine-month), with a 2-2 teaching load and pre-tenure teaching reduction. The position requires 1) engaging in research activity such as seeking external funding, publishing journal articles/book chapters, and presenting research at conferences, 2) teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students, 3) participating in departmental, college, and university service commensurate with rank. Advanced Assistant Professors and ABDs near completion are encouraged to apply but must have completed their PhD by the start date.

We are seeking a colleague who can contribute to the current faculty in the I/O area. Although we are open to all substantive areas of expertise within I/O psychology, preference will be given to applicants whose research complements the existing research program of current I/O faculty as well as those who can advance the LSU’s scholarship first agenda. We are also particularly interested in scholars with statistical or methodological expertise in their substantive area of research (e.g., multi-level modeling, meta-analysis, psychometrics).

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in I/O Psychology (Expected by Aug 2026) or a closely related field with specialization substantively relevant to I/O Psychology is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative and methodological skills.
