Software Development Engineer - Front-End

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer – Front-End to join our engineering team and lead the development of high-performance, scalable, and visually engaging web applications. In this role, you will architect front-end solutions, drive best practices, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless, user-centric experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks and Tailwind CSS.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performing front-end applications.
• Champion best practices in code quality, UI/UX design, testing, and performance optimization.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical architecture and reusable components.
• Build and optimize front-end applications using React.js (preferred) or Angular with Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible UIs.
• Own end-to-end delivery of critical features/modules, ensuring timely, high-quality releases.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews, provide architectural direction, and mentor SDE-1/2 engineers.
• Ensure seamless integration of front-end applications with APIs and backend services.
• Evaluate and introduce new frameworks, tools, and technologies to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications & Skill Set

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Strong expertise in React.js and state management libraries (e.g., Redux).
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and component-driven UI development.
• Solid understanding of design systems, UI/UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
• Exposure to server-side technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB preferred.
• Experience with GIS applications or Map Server projects is an added advantage.

Good To Have

• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with micro-frontends and large-scale distributed front-end architectures.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized front-end environments.
• Prior experience leading technical initiatives or cross-functional projects.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
