Perform complex data analysis and activities to support assigned program areas. Research and analyze the statewide business relative to planning, performance measures, customer feedback, performance improvements and communicate results. Support programmatic analysis, reporting and data management activities.

How you will contribute:
  • Agency-Wide Initiatives: Support the Division’s role in providing data and analysis to support agency wide initiatives. Implement effective quality assurance and quality control strategies to ensure data and analysis is correct and responsive to the request.
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives: Perform high level analysis as needed to support cross-functional initiatives. Coordinate across divisions and districts to ensure consistency, performance, and reliability of analytical tools.
  • Innovation: Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to identify and implement innovative solutions to help improve the quality of Division products and services.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned including independently performing ad-hoc requests for data analysis and report generation.

  • Demonstrated skill developing and managing large data sets and integrating data from different sources and across different platforms.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the interrelationships among project data, including phases, schedules, and estimates.
  • Knowledge of theory and principles of database development, data management, business process improvement, and performance management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify and analyze problem areas and recommend various solutions.
  • Knowledge of theory and principles of database development, data management, business process improvement, and performance management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft software.
  • Skill in developing and managing large data sets and integrating data from different sources and across different platforms.
  • Skill in oral and written communication to build effective relationships.
  • Skill in working with business and/or financial information systems.

  • Additional Considerations:
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Information Management Systems, Technology, Communications or related field desired.
  • Experience defining a business need, identifying a solution, implementing the solution, and monitoring performance.
  • Experience in dealing effectively with ambiguity and to gather critical facts of a situation.
  • Experience working in teams to solve complex problems.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft software including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Power BI, etc.
