The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting Keplr’s growth by leading key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy of financial results, and driving process improvements. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Controller and Chief Accounting Officer to maintain compliance, streamline operations, and develop our accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
• Month-End Close Leadership: Oversee and ensure accurate monthly financial results, guiding team members to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the close process.
• Audit Management: Partner with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audits, and coach team members on preparing accurate audit responses.
• Process Improvements: Drive initiatives to improve accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and accelerate close timelines without compromising accuracy.
• Systems & Data: Lead activities related to system conversions and ensure Finance has the data needed for timely reporting.
• Sales & Cash Oversight: Review sales and cash activity from practice management systems, and establish daily review processes during system migrations.
• Account Reconciliation Ownership: Manage full reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, escalate unsupported items promptly, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Compliance: Uphold adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
• Team Development: Mentor and train accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of experience in accounting
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills
• Ability to interact with cross-functional leaders and senior executives
Preferred Qualifications:
• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Experience in the optical industry
• Multi-location retail experience, especially in a sales audit role
