Contract:  Fixed term or Secondment for 18 months

Are you ready to lead and shape the future of Business Management across Adult Social Care? We are seeking an experienced individual with a dynamic approach to join our team as Head of Business Management.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across specialist areas including Risk Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Planning, Office Logistics, and Information Governance 
  • Lead on communications and engagement, supporting the directorate’s response to political issues, savings, and transformation
  • Be the professional lead for Business and Finance Service, influencing the direction of the organisation and leading on key service areas.
  • Develop and embed a positive working culture, drive transformational change, and ensure robust business continuity planning.
  • Manage budgets, lead teams, and support staff development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and policy requirements and act as the first point of contact for corporate initiatives.

You Will Need

  • A degree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualifications.
  • Significant management experience, including change management and leading teams through transformation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, data protection, risk management, and business continuity.
  • To be passionate about improving services and making a positive difference to the people of Suffolk.
