The Service Coordinator is an individual, responsible for dealing with the issues related to the Chief of the Service and all service physicians within the Department of Medicine at (MSW or MSSL).
- Assist the Chief of the service with all administrative duties with minimal supervision in the Department of Medicine, including but not limited to, calendar management, meeting appointments, conferences, schedules, creating documents, patient scheduli
- Submit check requests and travel reimbursements for the service within the Department of Medicine.
- Maintain Amion for the monthly service on call schedule.
- Order and maintain supplies for the service.
- Transcribes and types manuscripts, grant proposals, letters etc. as necessary.
- Receives and transmits information by telephone and fax for the service.
- Process/update HIPAA-related paperwork and other institutional forms as necessary.
- Generates any physician referrals as requested by the chief or service physicians in a timely manner.
- Responds to and addresses “Referral” messages within 24 hours.
- May schedule a patient for follow-up appointment as needed. Provide patient with guidelines for requesting medical records, if necessary.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be able to work independently and possess excellent organizational, communication and telephone skills. Must be able to multitask and interacts well with customers, managers, directors, vice presidents and other leadership.
- Five years related experience in a commercial building or property management company required.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.01 - $29.78 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
