About the opportunity
Join our Group Security team within Finance, Governance & Commercial as a Senior Manager, Business Continuity Management. This role is central to strengthening Australia Post’s resilience capability, ensuring we’re prepared for and able to respond to significant disruptions. You’ll be part of a team that’s driving enterprise-wide continuity and recovery strategies like never before.
What you’ll deliver with us
You’ll lead the development, testing, and continuous improvement of business continuity strategies, plans, and systems. Reporting to the Head of Resilience & Integrity Operations, you’ll work across business units to embed continuity practices, uplift maturity, and align with ISO standards. Success in this role means building stakeholder capability and ensuring operational resilience during real-time disruption events.
You’Ll Also
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Standard, Framework, and supporting tools across the enterprise
- Embed BCM practices within business operations, including the delivery of awareness programs, training, and testing activities
- Work with business leaders to identify critical operations and create effective recovery strategies.
- Lead the development of business continuity plans and strategies, including BIA processes and scenario-based exercises
- Provide subject matter expertise during major business disruptions and support post-incident performance reviews
- Influence change and innovation to uplift organisational resilience and align with regulatory and strategic requirements

You thrive in complex environments, bring high emotional intelligence, and are confident engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You’re proactive, collaborative, and committed to delivering outcomes that support our communities and customers.
You’Ll Also Need
- Demonstrated experience in corporate business continuity management
- Strong knowledge of ISO 22301 and resilience strategy
- Excellent communication skills and experience delivering training
- Proven ability to engage, influence and coach stakeholders at all levels
- Experience delivering training and facilitating exercises for a wide range of audiences
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive collaboration across subject matter experts.
