What We Do?

In Istanbul, over 50,000 buses operate at 31% efficiency. These buses, which contribute to the city's traffic with empty seats, could also be the solution to its problem. Volt Lines is the only shuttle service provider that has both software as well as a transport service. This allows for optimal harmonization of the software and operation resulting in the creation of great experiences and services. Notable examples of these innovative services include DRT and Marketplace. DRT (short for Demand-Responsive Transport) was covered by a Harvard Business School case study that is being taught at the MBA school. Marketplace on the other hand allows companies to sell empty seats on their buses to neighboring passengers who are going in the same direction at the same time.

We're looking for an Accounting Specialist to join us in shaping the future of urban transportation using the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations: AR/AP, e-invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly closings.
• Process and control customer, vendor, and purchase invoices (including foreign & discount invoices).
• Prepare VAT returns, BA/BS forms, tax declarations, and financial reports.
• Track and record expense processes and ensure proper documentation.
• Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Handle bank reconciliations, guarantees, currency revaluations, and cash operations.
• Collaborate with banks, SSI, Tax Office, TÜİK, and third parties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably including invoicing and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax regulations and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software (Logo, SAP, Netsis, or similar).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment is a strong plus.
