Job Summary:
As an Assistant Merchandise Planner at Tesco, you will be an integral part of our merchandising team, responsible for planning and
optimizing the allocation of products to our stores. Your role will involve forecasting, inventory management, and ensuring that our
stores have the right products at the right time to meet customer demand while maximizing sales and profitability.
In this job, I’m accountable for:
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:
-Represent Talent Acquisition in all forums/ seminars pertaining to process, compliance and audit
-Driving CI culture, implementing CI projects and innovation for withing the team
- Providing merchandising support effective running of the department, preparing analysis for my manager (including Monday Trade
analysis) and collaborating closely with the UK & TBS merchandising team and suppliers
- Collating and share market and competitor insight so we can understand what our customers really want!
- Help build balanced ranges for our department that meet sales, stock and profit targets
- Leading all aspects of order management critical paths, line projections and ensuring ranging databases are up to-date and accurate
- Managing intake to ensure product availability and support new launches and events
- Producing weekly sub class WSSI and line flows which helps our Merchandise Planning Managers track sales, margin and stock
across regions and channels
- Preparing analysis which helps your manager to handle risk, suggesting any stock repeats and markdown management opportunities
- Scheduling and implementing promotions and markdowns across all channels and regions
- Identifying replenishment issues and working with Supply Chain and Store Stock Planning teams to resolve
- Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and promotional plans to forecast product demand
- Supporting the MPM in preparation for sign off and strategy; analysing history, trends and best and worst
-Ensure timely execution of promotional strategies and stock allocation for events like seasonal promotions, Sales event and new
product launches
