OPEN RANK POSITION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Description

Fulbright University Vietnam invites applications for an open-rank position in Mechanical Engineering for its Human Centered Engineering Program. The Human Centered Engineering program is uniquely positioned at the intersection of engineering, liberal arts, and design thinking. Designed to align with international engineering accreditation standards such as ABET, the program offers an integrative and hands-on curriculum that fosters both cognitive and emotional intelligence. With its emphasis on automation, robotics, systems integration, and product innovation, the HCE program produces students who are trained to identify human needs, formulate engineering problems, and implement viable solutions that consider social, environmental, and economic contexts

Fulbright Vietnam seeks scholars and educators who care deeply about developing students as engaged learners and citizens, working in a transdisciplinary environment, and participating in a start-up university environment.

Successful candidates are expected to teach 5 courses per academic year including Core courses, such foundational and intermediate courses as Design and Systems Thinking, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Design, and Machine Design, as well as advising undergraduate student research projects and capstone experiences. Successful candidates should have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research, as well as a desire to work with and develop undergraduate students.

Qualifications

Candidates are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field by the time of employment.
