The Philadelphia office of Cozen O’Connor is looking for a bright, creative, client service-oriented Marketing Coordinator/Specialist with excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail to work with the Practice Group Marketing Director for the Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property, Health Care & Life Sciences, and Institutional Response Practices. The successful candidate will build a working knowledge of each practice’s services and an understanding of their unique strategy, priorities, and clients.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pitches and marketing materials tailored to specific matters and practice areas. Track pitches to evaluate wins/losses and trends by client type, practice, industry, etc.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral, practice group descriptions, web copy, and matter lists.
  • Prepare and coordinate award submissions and nominations.
  • Support participation in seminars, conferences, association sponsorships, and other firm events, including assisting with logistics, managing advertising opportunities, leveraging sponsorship opportunities, attending events, and assisting in the coordination and execution of attorney participation.
  • Coordinate with attorneys on details for monthly webinar series, including drafting invitations and tracking deadlines and deliverables. Analyze webinar attendance to identify target clients and trends.
  • Draft news items, event descriptions, and press releases. Update lawyer biographies as needed.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and complete analytics projects in conjunction with Library Services.
  • Manage other business development projects as necessary. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of marketing or business development experience, preferably in a professional services industry.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail in all work products.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write business communications and effectively present information, and respond to inquiries from all levels of professional and support staff, clients, associations, and vendors.
  • Proficient in analyzing and summarizing articles, alerts, white papers, and similar publications.
  • Must be a professional, independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions.
  • Ability to work within a complex and multifaceted business environment.
  • Knowledge and skill in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Database experience preferred.
