Operations Planning Supervisor - Brisbane Container Park

An exciting opportunity for an Operations Planning Supervisor to join our growing team!

This role will be responsible for efficiently creating & communicating a daily operational plan for all activities at the Container Park while maintaining labour costs & customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities

• Plan & communicate operational requirements to yard supervisor 
• Communicate operational plan with terminals & customers to ensure required outcomes   
• Oversee data integrity is maintained for all operational systems 
• Oversee the planning of all Quarantine related activities 
• Plan stock in and out of the Container Park
• Liaise with Workshop team and Yard Supervisors to ensure bookings are fulfilled across all divisions
• Report on planning performance to leadership team
• Manage slot requirements to meet industry demands
• Provide leadership, direction and coaching for all direct reports 
• Accountability and responsibility for the performance management of all direct reports
• Maintain employee productivity to meet customer service level agreements
• Maintain employee engagement and positive workplace culture that fosters great performance
• Plan rosters for team to ensure business coverage
• Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• 5 years experience in logistics industry
• Experience in supervision of operational teams
• Empty Container Park experienced desired
• Knowledge of 1-Stop and Transport Management Systems

• Effective Planning Skills

• Ability to oversee a team to deliver outcomes in line with business requirements and expectations
• Proven strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Proven ability to motivate others to effect change
