Edge & Application Networking Automation Frameworks team designs and develops automation frameworks. We design efficiency improvement tools and complex automation libraries using Python for teams working on Akamai Delivery, Web, Origin Services and Edge Computing products.

Ensure world class Delivery performance

You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment. You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and enhancing the automation frameworks used by the Product testing and development teams
• Hands-on LLM experience is preferred. Good understanding of ML/AI concepts.
• Collaborating closely with Product stakeholders in creating the automation infrastructure to replicate real world scenarios in parallel
• Reviewing product & system design requirements to come up with efficient automation frameworks or libraries
• Evangelizing the automation frameworks and tools across Akamai. Able to work on multiple projects

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5+ years' relevant experience and Masters/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or it's equivalent
• Have understanding of SDLC, contemporary QA/test principles, methodologies, with regards to white box testing and test automation
• Have experience using GIT and/or Perforce. Exposure to Container technologies like Dockers, Kubernetes etc.
• Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems using Data Structures and complex Algorithms.
• Have exposure and/or interest in working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
• Have ability to ramp-up faster on LLM technologies faster. Real-world experience is bonus
