- Job Title: Commissioning Manager - STS
- Location: Barrow-In-Furness - Onsite

What You’Ll Be Doing:
- Control, monitor and manage the Ship Test Section to meet the boat test & commissioning plan to the agreed deliverables
- Lead and manage Test & Commissioning staff or business partnerships/subcontracts
- Ensure each team member is assessed, developed & skilled to maximise their personal contribution and to meet the requirements of the contracts, schedules and specifications
- Identify resource requirements through the lifecycle of the project and manage T&C resource within agreed time limits
- Perform appropriate planning, management and review activities to ensure products are integrated, safe, fully compliant, tested and commissioning within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time & schedule
- Review the processes and procedures within the span of control to reduce waste, improve efficiency and establish a dynamic/flexible best in class capability
- Ensure all commissioning activities are undertaken with the Operational Framework and that compliance with all T&C policies is maintained
Your Skills And Experiences:
Essential:
- Extensive Leadership & Management experience
- Subject matter expert within Ships testing and commissioning or equivalent complex systems e.g. Oil & Gas or Nuclear industries
- Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Desirable:
- An Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartership & member of the relevant institute
- ILM Level 3 or CMI Level 5

The Test & Commissioning Team:
This role is for Ships Commissioning Manager - Dreadnought Boat 2 – Valiant, however the individual will also have responsibility as one of the leadership team for a co-located Ship Test Section across Astute and Dreadnought. As a Commissioning Manager will manage, control & monitor the test section to meet the Boat Commissioning Plan, responsible for a large group of Commissioning Engineers at various levels & disciplines, offering a broad range of technical skill & knowledge to on a unique project that is part of the national endeavour.
