FAES | Food Science and Technology-JMThe Clinical Research Coordinator supports and implements daily clinical research activities across one or more projects in nutritional, dietetic, biological, and health sciences. This role involves participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, administration of cognitive and behavioral assessments, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure protocol compliance and research integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols
- Assist in data collection, coding, extraction, and analysis
- Evaluate and calculate standardized scoring for diagnostic, psychological, and behavioral assessments
- Support the development and tailoring of cognitive tests per study protocols
- Maintain access and credentials for the NIH Cognitive Toolbox
- Identify and recruit study participants, including travel to medical centers and clinics
- Educate healthcare providers on study protocols and goals
- Interview, assess, enroll participants, and administer study questionnaires and measurements
- Train and supervise students and research personnel
- Contribute to achieving study goals and maintaining compliance with clinical protocol requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Ability to apply academic and/or practical knowledge to biological/health/nutrition science research
- Familiarity with clinical measurements and cognitive/behavioral testing protocols
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and make recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) credentials
- Experience conducting clinical research in food science, nutrition, health, or dietetics
- Experience administering cognitive and behavioral questionnaires
