We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our growing team located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Mountain View, CA. The PowerPoint team has the responsibility for the design, implementation, and validation of the PowerPoint ecosystem of products and services, which includes our desktop clients and large-scale cloud services. Our mature development and engineering systems allow us to innovate at an extremely fast pace to transform the landscape of presentation software -- be it our Copilot offerings or real-time collaboration at scale. 
 
Our products and portfolio are rapidly expanding, and we are excited to meet the challenges of scale, performance, efficiency, and reliability as we build the world's best storytelling software. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful planning and execution of technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and stakeholders. 
 
This position is ideal for candidates who have experience managing projects or programs in a technical environment and want to advance their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. The Senior Technical Program Manager will work closely with engineering leads, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining clear and transparent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support the key leaders for PowerPoint to drive towards quick ship timelines with a high-quality bar, implementing PPT Copilot features across the portfolio of M365 products 
  • Act as technical translators between infrastructure/product/platform teams 
  • Establish key ship criteria and hold cross-team leadership accountable to ensure customer-driven quality gates are met 
  • Own and drive regular and concise communications and clarify key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities 
  • Drive preparation and workback schedules across multiple teams for all executive reviews 
  • Make sure that related planning guidance and key sites/resources (i.e. SharePoint, etc.) are maintained and updated on a regular basis 
  • Drive requirements with our tools teams to ensure our Azure Dev Ops, OKR, and other necessary tooling support effective processes and discussions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development 
  • OR equivalent experience. 
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 
  • 2+ years of experience with Enterprise software products, cloud platforms, and AI. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to change the momentum of current plans to a more beneficial course that amplifies their impact. 
  • Efficiently handle difficult executive reviews with conflicting perspectives. 
  • Relationship building skills and influence/collaborate at all organizational levels.   
  • Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment, orchestrating strategic and complex business activity.  

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
