Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up.
Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
The Post
As part of the council’s public safety strategy, we are about to embark on a major project to upgrade and expand our Public Safety CCTV network.
This exciting project includes replacing all of the council’s aging stock of analogue CCTV cameras, increasing CCTV coverage in areas where there is little or no assets, upgrading the council’s wireless CCTV network and storage capacity and enhancing our control room operations through the use video analytics and AI.
The project has a financial value in excess of £3m and so we are looking for a highly talented individual to lead on its delivery over the next 18 months.
The role will also support event operations delivery which presents an exciting opportunity to get involved with event day operations for Wembley Stadium.
The Person
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated person to lead on this project who identifies as a strong self-managing and flexible individual.
The ideal candidate does not necessarily need to possess industry level CCTV skills but should have a strong awareness of CCTV and have a keen interest in and understanding of technology.
