The knowledge manager is responsible for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets. They are required to work alongside stakeholders, internal and external, to promote and optimize the usage of the organization’s knowledge assets. Knowledge managers are expected to keep themselves and their appointed teams accountable for compliance to the company’s expectations and strategy. They are also responsible for communication, promoting collaboration and workplace harmony.
Ideal candidates possess soft skills such as great leadership, effective communication, problem-solving, coaching and teamwork skills. These skills will aid in promoting a culture of knowledge-sharing that is enabled through guidance and learning. As a knowledge manager, you will be well-equipped with the knowledge base features, functionality and be able to communicate this to teams effectively. As managers in a fast-paced and knowledge-driven environment, you will have to be able to identify concepts and ideas and come up with solutions quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing through defining, supporting and encouraging the use of knowledge to employees of all skill levels and roles.
- Ensuring that knowledge technologies are up-to-date and working according to function, as well as ensuring that employees are not misusing company tech infrastructure.
- Controlling the accessibility and flow of knowledge within the organization and to external parties.
- Helping capture new knowledge with the usage of a knowledge base.
- Monitor progress by leveraging analytics to assess the impact, engagement, functionality and effectiveness of knowledge management strategy.
- Providing relevant coaching, training and support to champion a knowledge management culture.
- Uses centralized and peripheral databases, content management, records management systems and shapes workflow and processes.
- Compiles reports on performance and usage metrics and future requirements for existing knowledge management capabilities including, but not limited to, search, discovery, storage and retrieval of data and formal production and taskings.
- Disseminates intelligence products across separate networks and portals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific position, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an area related to the labor category from a College or University; Additional Experience and Education will be required for positions of increased responsibility; Years of Experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrates working knowledge of the concepts involved in the specific functions outlined in the specified labor category description.
- Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
- Demonstrates ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials.
- Demonstrates understanding of evaluation collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers and developing collection requirement.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Salary Range:
The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
