Position Description:

The Brandeis School of Law invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) co-teaching position in our Resilience Justice Practicum, for the Spring 2026 (January-May) semester. Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until the position is filled.  This is a community-engaged course with a growing number of projects with community partners (community-based groups, nonprofits, and government agencies).  Interested candidates should include in their application a resume or curriculum vitae and a cover letter or expression of interest in this field. Applications should be addressed to Professor Timothy Hall, Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs.  Official academic transcripts will be required of all successful applicants.

Required Qualifications For This Position:

  • License to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the United States (license valid & active).
  • Experience representing or collaborating with marginalized or vulnerable populations.
  • No conflicts of interest with any of the Resilience Justice Project’s community partners.

A J.D. degree and expertise demonstrated in the field are required. Prior teaching experience, particularly as an adjunct professor at a law school; as well as prior experience working with the University of Louisville Resilience Justice Project, are preferred, although not required.
